What you need

tsp ground allspice

tbsp rose water

tsp ground cinnamon

tbsp water

lb salted butter

tbsp vanilla extract

cup dark brown sugar
Instructions
1: Soak the mix of raisins, prunes, currants, and cranberries in red wine and rum in advance. 2: In a mixing bowl, cream together the salted butter and dark brown sugar until light and fluffy. 3: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. 4: Gradually add the flour, baking powder, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, browning, vanilla extract, rose water, and almond essence. 5: Fold in the soaked fruits, dried mixed peel, maraschino cherries, white rum, sweet red wine, and water. 6: If using, fold in the plain bread crumbs. 7: Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake at 350°F for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. 8: Let the cake cool before serving.View original recipe
