Step 1: Grate the Caribbean sweet potato and cassava (or green bananas). Step 2: In a large bowl, combine grated sweet potato, cassava, coconut flakes, cornmeal, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground ginger, and salt. Step 3: Add vanilla extract, rose water, and coconut milk to the mixture and mix well. Step 4: Wrap scoops of the mixture in blanched or pre-steamed banana leaves and tie with kitchen twine. Step 5: Boil or steam the wrapped tie-a-leaf for 45 minutes.
