A quick weeknight meal inspired by jambalaya pasta or Haitian spaghetti, made with bow-tie pasta and smoked sausage, complemented by bell peppers and onion. It's ready in just 20 minutes, making it perfect for busy evenings.

Step 1: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Step 2: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add sliced smoked sausage. Cook until browned. Step 3: Add sliced bell peppers and red onion to the skillet and sauté until softened. Step 4: Stir in garlic paste and cook for another minute. Step 5: Add tomato paste, chicken broth (or reserved pasta water), chicken Maggi cube, all-purpose seasoning, Italian seasoning, and sugar. Mix well. Step 6: Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet. Toss to combine all ingredients. Step 7: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add chopped basil leaves if using. Step 8: Serve with grated parmesan on top for garnish.
